🧁 Collection & Pickup Policy
As a home-based business, all pickups for Meihem Cakes are strictly by prior arrangement, to help us balance baking with family life. Unless otherwise agreed, pickup is assumed to be between 7:00–7:30pm on your scheduled date. If we’re unavailable at that time, we’ll make alternative arrangements in advance.
📍 Pickup Location
Pickups are from Braddell View Condo. The full address will be shared after payment, shortly before your scheduled collection.
🗓 Order Lead Time
– Custom cakes & cakepop towers: 7–14 days’ notice, depending on complexity
– Bento cakes, cupcakes & general cakes: 5–7 days’ notice
– Rush orders may be possible depending on availability and are subject to a rush fee
⏰ Late Pickups & Uncollected Orders
We hold cakes for up to 30 minutes after your scheduled time. After this, we may arrange delivery at $15, or leave the cake outside our unit for self-collection.
We are not liable for any damage, melting, or loss if the cake is left unattended.
Due to storage limitations and scheduled bakes for other clients, uncollected cakes may be disposed of if not picked up on the scheduled date. No refunds will be given for missed pickups.
❄️ Storage & Handling
Please keep your cake chilled immediately after pickup. Transport it in an air-conditioned car, or better yet, a cooler bag with ice packs. Upon arrival, refrigerate your cake until 1 hour before serving (timing varies by size).
🚗 Handling Tips:
– Support the cake from the bottom, not the sides
– Don’t stack anything on the box or let it slide around
– Keep it out of direct sun, avoid bumpy roads, and turn your car’s AC to max
📸 Responsibility & Design Checks
We highly recommend you check your cake before leaving. We’ll take a photo at handover. If your cake is delivered, please send us a timestamped photo upon receipt.
Once the cake has left our hands, we are not liable for any damages incurred during transport or storage.
📦 Packaging
All cakes are provided in sturdy boxes. For large cakes delivered and assembled on-site, full boxing may not be possible.
We encourage customers to bring their own cooler bags for safe transport. Cooler bags may be available for purchase if pre-arranged at least 1 day before pickup.
