Welcome to Meihem Cakes! By placing an order through our website, social media pages, or other communication channels, you agree to the terms outlined below. These ensure a smooth and mutually respectful experience for both parties.
1. Orders & Lead Time
- All orders are subject to availability and should be placed at least 5–7 days in advance.
- Rush orders (less than 3 days’ notice) may incur an additional fee and are accepted at our discretion.
- Orders are confirmed only upon full payment.
2. Payments
- All payments are to be made via PayNow or bank transfer unless otherwise arranged.
- Invoices will include payment details and are valid for 24 hours unless otherwise stated.
- Orders will be considered void if payment is not received within the stipulated timeframe.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellations made at least 5 days before collection are eligible for a 50% refund.
- No refunds will be given for cancellations made within 3 days of the collection/delivery date.
- In the rare event of unforeseen circumstances from our side (e.g. illness, equipment failure), a full refund will be provided or an alternative arrangement will be offered.
4. Product Handling & Storage
- Our cakes and treats are best consumed on the day of collection.
- For optimal freshness, store cakes in an air-conditioned room or refrigerate (especially those with dairy-based frosting).
- Once products have been handed over, Meihem Cakes is not responsible for damages incurred due to mishandling or improper storage.
- For refrigerated cakes, self-collecting customers are advised to travel by car in an air-conditioned environment, preferably with insulated bags and ice-packs. Insulated bags and ice-packs MAY be available for purchase depending on availability but not guaranteed. Customers are advised to check ahead or bring their own bags. We are not liable for loss of cake structure as a result of heat exposure.
5. Design & Customisation
- While every effort is made to replicate design inspirations, minor variations may occur due to the handmade nature of our products.
- Colours, decorations, and layouts may vary slightly depending on available materials or environmental conditions.
- By placing an order, you agree to trust our creative judgment where necessary.
6. Photography & Marketing
- Meihem Cakes reserves the right to photograph all finished products for portfolio and marketing purposes (including social media).
- If you prefer your cake not to be featured publicly, please inform us at the time of order.
7. Allergens
- Our products may contain or come into contact with common allergens such as eggs, dairy, nuts, gluten, soy.
- While we do our best to avoid cross-contamination, our kitchen is not an allergen-free environment.
8. Delivery & Collection
- Deliveries are fulfilled via third-party providers and are subject to their availability.
- Meihem Cakes is not liable for damages that occur during transit unless it is a direct result of our packing.
